Is there a trick to lining up the lanterns after they pop off? Out of the box, the lanterns line up fine. Once they pop off, I can never get them back on so the green face is parallel with the straight right of way. When setting the lantern back on, it “clicks” and holds at an angle. Glancing at the layout, I can’t tell if the turnout is set to the right away to not.
Are there aftermarket alternatives for a different lantern mechanism?
Pulling this out of me arse …. 😝 I wonder if there’s a way I can maybe add a small sleeve to the top of a switch mechanism and put the lantern on top of that so I can somehow fasten it at the appropriate orientation. Maybe something like the outer casing from a phone wire bundle, cut to a 1/8’” or 1/4” length, glue that to the pivoting mechanism, and fasten the lantern on that.
