I am trying to get my city section moving along after doing some trackwork the past few days. This is a modified Harry Heike cantilevered factory front. I wanted to build it as a cantilevered building but found that I had to do too many mods to the existing trackwork to make it work. I shaved down some of the concrete details and built up some of my own using basswood and spackle.

The next task is to decide its final location. I will arrange and rearrange these buildings until I bite off all my fingernails.

Hi Northville, from a fellow Detroit Tigers Fan

I noticed your Detroit, Tigers Cap in your photo.

Went to your blogspot, you have a first class blog page, a lot of photos showing the progress of your layout. This was very helpful to understand the objectives for your layout.

Hey thx guys, appreciate the kind words.

Dave, I must have at least 20hrs. or so into it. I started it, then modified it into the 2" flat that it is now, then worked on other things for a bit before coming back to it last weekend. Once I get its final location nailed down (not sure if I will use the Terminal Warehouse yet), I will add some minor roof details.

Slugger thanks but I didn't snag any construction shots on this one. I should get back in the habit though now that I am getting used to the new shop I set up.

Dave, I would think. I'd imagine there'd be a nice collection of planks and such in the shipping and receiving department to assist with loading and unloading. I think it will be a nice place to pose a few boxcars.

The TMB former location had a RR siding on the other side of the building we occupied. Trains rolled right up to doors bu did need a metal ramp to fill the gap of about 4 feet
