I did start this project 2 years ago when I acquired a bushel of MTH SW1 shells.  This is a model of the FC&G 600 late in its career and the maroon stripe is very faded.  It was definitely showing its age but still running everyday.  After the IC/GM&O merger which basically ended the FC&G this loco was sold to the Columbus and Greenville where it continued to work.  My model is a MTH shell on a Atlas chassis.  Glad I finally got it done.  I have prototype photos of this loco but I will not post them here.  In one of those photos this loco was teamed up with a IC caboose as the old FC&G cabs did not last long after the merger.

Malcom, I found a photo by David Price like your first photo. Your unit and caboose are spot on. Fantastic modeling , craftsmen like you seem to be dwindling. Have you ever done an artical for the OGR? I would thnk an interview with you and your past work would be Inspirational and good for the hobby.
