FINALLY!!!! MTH Rail King Scale RS-1's are lined up for production

Looking forward to the 2 Rutland’s I ordered. I have 3 RS-1’s and have always said they were the best bargain in O gauge.

Has Susquehanna #252 in the bicentennial paint scheme ever been offered in O gauge?  I did a quick search and didn’t find anything.  I seem to recall AtlasO announcing one, but then not producing it?

I'm psyched for the Rutland RS-1! How long does it generally take MTH from lining up production to the dealer receiving the item? Six months? A year?

Thank God. There IS a real train store in CA! Even if I am in the South Bay (Torrance) it will be worth the drive!

Actually, kinda sorta near you ..there's one train store in Anaheim...and one in burbank.  They dont have any of my special run stuff tho....i havent had time to go to the stores and see if they want any.

Everything we do is mail order.

PS...i lived in south bay for years.

Thanks for other RS-1 suggestions.  We are limited to 2 road names.   This time around it will be  Rutland, and Maryland & Delaware.

Also , please, when suggesting special run items...Think about whether or not you could sell 20 pieces of the item you want.    I hate saying "no can do" to ppl, but most spoecial runs do not make any money....they break even at best...    If we had a distribution network to wholesale special run items to dealers and stores, that would help.  But im trying to keep this a small parttime business.

If you've ever had someone very close to you get very, very ill, it changes your priorities in life, ...as u realize that there will always be trains...but loved ones are not replaceable, and you appreciate your time with them so much more...

The NYS&W RS-1 color scheme is silver and maroon, not purple. It's the second color scheme that their RS-1's wore; the first being pearl gray and maroon.
