Does anyone know a dealer or private individual who might be able to find some undecorated Weaver ACF and PD2-CD hoppers?
I can't imagine Weaver dumped everything in the trash when they closed. Somebody has to have the old inventory.

Try Beth from Public Delivery track. I understand she bought out remaining inventory... but her purchases could have been all finished and decorated. There was a Lot of undecorated stuff being purchased by individuals at the July closout sale however your hoppers undecorated, I do not recall were there. Weaver was big on Batch processing.
There were a couple of undecorated Weaver hoppers listed on eBay today
(Not mine - Just saw they there)
There were tons of shells in the dumpster, and yes, I went diving. I got several to practice weathering.

Yikes! That's totally sad!
"I still have a couple of two-bay undec Weaver hoppers."
Thanks Carl, but I'm looking for ACF Centerflow and PS2-CD specifically.
Did Lionel get the Weaver Models freight cars and locomotives made in the USA?
Everybody on the forum can e-mail and post messages on Facebook asking if the people at Lionel are in possession of the Weaver Models injection molds for the plastic body locos and freight cars made in the USA.
Andrew
Rich, I have 2 undecorated PS2-CD hoppers with diecast trucks new in the box I'd be willing to part with if you're interested. Contact me by email, address in my profile.

Andrew,
Lionel did acquire the USA made tooling, but nothing will be in production until 2017. Mike Reagan told me in October that they would be ready in six to seven months, but a friend talked to him recently, and they are not ready for production. I also talked to Joe Hayter a few weeks ago, and he said Lionel will not be using the pad printing equipment, they'll be using a different process. We'll have to wait and see what happens. I would also like to mention that Weaver did produce un-decorated rolling stock.

They must have undecorated freight car and loco bodies available for sale in the Lionel parts listing, so people can get them again for repairs or custom painting.
Andrew
I'm not sure what was sold to dealers and folks who went to the final days sales, but Lionel did acquire the contents of the warehouse full of parts and who knows what else. It might be a good idea to contact Mike at Lionel.

The L&N PS-2-CD 3-bay grain hopper is almost undecorated.
