Question for the more educated:  I've had my Flyer Chief on the layout twice and each time, it seems to have killed the sound board.  We noted that the front truck right side arched when the engine went through.

Questions:

1) would that be enough to kill the board?  (Sound is now intermittent - may come on for awhile, then turns off - got it to turn back on by using blue tooth app, but didn't work second time.)

2)  has anyone else had a similar occurance?

3) can the wheel in question be put back in gauge?

I run both my Flyer Chief Northern and GP7 with no problems many times.

Francine

The S gauge Berkshire pilot truck bearings are a known problem. I have two Legacy Berks and both had a loose bearing that was arcing. They had to be reseated. Some FlyerChief versions were delivered with a bearing missing.

If you need a bearing the only source seems to be Brasseur trains in Saginaw. They bought the supply from Lionel when this problem became known.

Tom,

Do you have a part number for that bearing?
