I'm I the only in? Cause I preorder it and I want to know if someone is in to share our fun with it.
That's my first tinplate, I'm so exited to see this engine in august if my memory feels good. That's gonna be my first PS3 also.
What do you think of this engine? Don't by shy of your opinions negative or positive.

I wanted to order one but I have other tinplate on order. I have thought about getting an original off the 'bay. The originals are really affordable. I still don't have any PS-3 but I enjoy the PS-2 stuff. When it comes to tinplate, I am leaning more toward traditional anymore. I have a Lionel NO.6 traditional on order I can't wait to get. I am sure you will get a lot of enjoyment from the set!
I saw this one coming out, but as my parent purchased a used original for me in the late 1960's, I thought I would go for the City of Denver this time (the green one).
The original is a good runner and I put many hours on mine, as a child. I think it will be even more impressive with PS3.

I have the Lionel Pre-War Celebration version and I love it!

I never understood why Lionel painted the roofs of the engine and the observation car? Or painted the front and tail black? I would have been in if the did an all Chrome version.
