Ok, so I finally got around to separating the cab, shell, walkway and chassis from a set of conventional / TMCC1 Lionel H16-44s, and now have two TMCC1 NYC FMs with different cab numbers.

Here's some details...  Better pic to follow.

Yes... I painted the running gear flat black, as I will be clear coating the whole unit in a matte finish, as I believe that it will look better than the satin finish from Lionel. Eventually, they will be weathered.

I have done almost the same thing with a pair of RS11s, although they are actually a renumbering in 2012 (Thanks, Jeff!) and are currently at Kelly Creek Backshop (Hi, David!) for "detailing".  I will be painting the underframe and running gear while they are there...

As for Legacy Geeps (next on the list... I have a powered unit that should fit the bill just fine as a sacrificial lamb to power the NYC dummy, but we'll see how that goes together.

After that... I have a DCDR that is dying to be put into the CommVan.

Thanks,
Mario
