Those of you who patronized Vince's Trains over the years know Jim Mason as well as you know Vince or me. Jim's wife called me last night to tell me that Jim had a heart attack and is in intensive care at a local hospital. The doctors told Jim's wife that Jim had 90% blockage and they to insert some stents. I don't know when Jim will be able to receive phone calls or visitors from his local friends, but I would ask you to keep Jim in your prayers. And if you don't believe in prayers, please just think good thoughts.

Prayers and wishing for full recovery.
Best wishes for Jim! Today's medicine is pretty advanced: I had two eluted stents inserted in my LAD artery (commonly known as the "widowmaker") in 2009, and my most recent arteriogram was clear!
If all else is well, hopefully the stents will do the trick!
My prayers and best wishes to you and your family Jim. I went through this in December of 2015. All is fine now. I'm on meds but that goes with getting older. God bless!

Hey Guys. Thanks for the responses. I'll make sure Jim sees this as soon as he is up and around. Nick (Wild Mary), Jim's at St Agnes. But I just got a text from him saying that he is doing well and the doctors might be letting him go home later today. His wife (Robin) was there getting instructions from the doctors as what Jim can or cannot do.
Jim mentioned that Robin got him to the hospital just in time Thursday night and that they had to zap him with the defibrilater 10 times.
I'll keep you advised of any updates and on behalf of Jim and his wife, thanks for the prayers and kind words.
Jim,
Please accept my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Get well soon Jim.
Sending prayers. Stents worked for me. Praying they will work for you as well.
Jim,
Here is hoping for a speedy recovery. Our prayers coming your way.

I am adding Ezekiel 36:26:
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you."
I prayed this scripture long distance for my pastor's brother. He experienced a full recovery.
Chuck,
I'll include him in my prayers and let me know when he can accept visitors.

Jim has been in my prayers ever since Chuck called me to tell me about Jim's condition. I also spoke with Robin, Jim's wife, and it was indeed fortunate that she got Jim to the hospital so quickly that they could save his life.
It's amazing that Jim will be coming home soon! Continued prayers for a full and speedy recovery!

Thanks to Trainpop for posting, and each and everyone of you for the prayers and good thoughts.
The heart attack was a surprise with little warning. As we're just minutes from the hospital My wife took me to the ER rather than take time to call 911 and wait for EMT's. Turned out to be a life saving decision. I went out between the EKG and ER gurney. Let me tell you, getting zapped with the defibrillator and still being awake isn't pleasant, but I like the end result. I'm still here.
My wife is as much the reason I'm here as the hospital folks.
To the folks at St Agnes ER and cardiac unit, thank you, and God bless you all.
I don't realisticly expect to make York in April now, but if by chance I do, and you see me, say hi. Otherwise I'll still be here browsing the forum, and see you in Oct., with my grandson. I'm convinced he's the purpose of my second chance.
Thanks to all, you're a great bunch, and I appreciate you all!
Praise God for the second chance, Jim, and may He continue to heal and strengthen you.
Welcome to the Stent Club! Remember to do everything the doc says.

You had your friends, and there are many of them here on the OGR Forum, worried Jim. We're glad that you are out of the hospital and back home recovering from your recent heart attack.
Thank the Lord that Robin took you to the hospital so fast!
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
