I guess its not my secret decoder ring?
Probably not a wallet either. He did say "considerable value". Probably not too many full wallets after York.
You've found my Lionel Rolex!! Thanks Allan!
Probably not the 2 inches of your waistline you gained by eating there either

IT'S GOT BE MY BROKEN HEART AFTER ALL THE TRAINS I COULD NOT AFFORD
I heard about this that same evening from one of the waitresses. Quite surprised no one has come forward yet as it was a large value.

Did you have to be at York to claim it? I thinks what ever it is, is mine because I can't find mine, what ever it is. Don
MY SCALE HUDSON! Yinz found it! Thanks....now just send it asap, as I miss my prize! Tom in PGH
Did it look anything like this?
Never mind I missed TGI Fridays this meet.

All kidding aside, it really is something very significant, and I'm hoping that the individual who lost it--if he or she was indeed a participant at our gathering--will be helped by this thread. Of course, it also is possible that the individual was not one of the assembled train nuts that evening, even though we pretty much packed the joint.
Is "it" of the female persuasion? Maybe he left her there on purpose...

I heard a RUMOR that the wife of Scott Smith is missing. Just kidding.
I can confirm my wife is not missing---if she were I would have loaded up my car at York.

Well darn it! The first York I miss in a few years and at Fridays there was actually more excitment than the usual great tomfoolery! Did it involve a scrapple recipe?
Well, you know it isn't my wallet, it would have indentification in it. Maybe it was my bill fold, it had $100,000. in it, or my rolex watch, I can't find that either. Wait a minute, I didn't go to TGI's Thursday night.
"Will the owner of the incredibly valuable item lost at the York Thursday at Friday's gathering please form a double line to the left of the podium. Thank you."
This thread reminds me of those announcements over the PA system at York asking guys to return to somebody's table in one of the halls because they left their credit card. Folks whip out that plastic so often they lose track of their card!
It ismore likely most of us are beyond the point of realizing we've lost something. Perhaps Alan found my mind and memory!
