I tried to post on the following thread, but it is apparently locked:

I have to say that this layout or the little I have seen on YOUTUBE, is a fantastic masterpiece and renders so well the Californian landscape and atmosphere. I understand that this layout is private and will most likely never get a chance to see it (living on the East Coast with that @#$% Covid on top). I'd like to ask some questions to Jay, since he is one of the lucky members of that very exclusive club:

1 - Would it be possible to have a drawing of the entire layout? The various videos give a rather precise estimation of how the layout is designed, but I would love to see a 2-dimensions scaled drawing of it.

2 - The trackwork is absolutely amazing. Watching the HOBO Rides is mesmerizing and I absolutely love the curves and subtle elevations of the tracks, in the mountains. I would appreciate if Jay could share some of his secrets about the track. What brand is it? RoW, Atlas, others? Are tracks soldered or individually fed by wires? Total length of the trackwork? What type of ballast was used? How long did it take to build such masterpiece?

3 - Seeing some additional and close up pictures would also be a treat.

Whenever I miss running trains, I go to the Hobo rides and lose sense of reality for a few minutes. It is meditative, aesthetic and transporting.

Thank you Jay.

Yves
