Watching and reading about all the fun you formites were having with superstreets,
I decided to dedicate a portion of my layout to it. It's in beta right now, But I'm
happy enough with it's function to make it permanent. It's a little more track vs
scenery than I wanted, but I wanted more variety in the way the station and
the trolleys functioned.
The Basics:
1) 3' X 5' village area
2) outer loop runs continuously. It stops at the intersection when the trolley is near
via isolated rail
3) The 3 wye switches are stand alone. No switch machine ect.
4) the trolley announcements are done with the Z-stuff trolley anouncement
module ( DZ-1220) and the 2" speaker that it comes with under the table.
5) The stop/start is done by programmable nodule that uses a basic langauge
for instructions.
6) The 2 stations are MTH operating platforms with the disappearing passengers.
The controller will eventually control this function as the trolleys come and go.
7) the end of the video shows the other end of the loop. The trolley stops via
and isolated track section on the train track side and stops the trolley
at the crossing. I used an Atlas crossover track to make it fit in the corner.
It took a little finagling to make it work, but it does.
