I have never had a problem with any of my MTH diesel batteries. So I didn't know what was inside. I just got an old (2005?) MTH first release Dash 8 that has dead battery symptoms. I charged it overnight and it didn't work.
I pulled the batteries out and they are 2 singles? I checked another engine of the same vintage and it uses the same batteries. They are marked 1.2 volt and read 1.34 on my meter. The engine won't keep an address change and the sounds cut out immediately so I need to go in deeper. Maybe something got broken but I was happy that it fired up anyways. I'll start a wire trace and hope for something easy. I maybe calling on U again G!!
