Last Saturday morning my wife and I visited a restaurant we've never been to since moving to the High Desert 16 years ago. It's in the town of Hesperia, at 3200 ft. elevation.
The restaurant has a double-track G-Scale railroad suspended from the ceilings with Oak woodwork. The long Truss and Arch bridges are also of Oak.
The 2 trains weaved their way between the 2 dining rooms and kitchen through tunnels and portals between the room partitions. One of the trains was pulled by a massive 6-axle Rio Grande diesel.
What great railroad atmosphere, and the food and service were great!
The restaurant is located next to the busy tracks of the BNSF and UP, as they descend into the Victor Valley from their climb up the Cajon Pass.
That's all...
