Gargraves switch activates log dump and barrel car

My solution has been to treat the offending spots on the rails with a coat of liquid rubber followed by a coat of black nail polish. Works well, every time.

The rubber insulates the rail and the nail polish provides a hard, smooth cover that protects the rubber.

I gave that a try. I have used fingernail polish before in situations to isolate power. It worked great. I just used nail polish without the rubber. But I had to connect the main center rail with the short center rail so as to maintain power for the pick up rollers on my engines. That was accomplished with pieces of forked electrical connectors. Thanks for the ideas.
