I have a pair of Z-Stuff DZ-1011 dwarf signals. Each has 3 wires, one red, one black for +18v and common respectively, plus a white wire.

Pamphlet says “by connecting the white wires together of two DZ-1011s, when one block signal changes, the other will also change to indicate that the track is occupied.”

Well, no, it doesn't operate that way at all. One operates normally, i.e., goes from green to read as sensor is activated. The other comes on red and stays on red, regardless of what the other signal does.

Idea is to have a signal at each end of a tunnel. When tunnel is occupied, both should be red. When not occupied both should be green. Both should turn red simultaneously as a train passes either. I can't make these signals behave that way.

when I did something like that it was rather simple but hard to figure out which pins to use. I setup the area to be block detected with isolating one rail in that area I then used a relay to  wiring the signals to be green all the time but when the relay kicked it would turn on the red the signals I have only one color could be on at a time so when the red kicks on the green would turn off.

with yours both greens on and then both red on so that should be alittle simpler mine was red yellow and green so I have to use other blocks to trigger the yellow then the red .
