Can anyone tell me what the wattage is for the light bulbs in the scale proto 2 MTH scale GG1? I need the wattage for headlight and markers. Thanks Joe

They're 6V 60ma 3mm diameter bulbs. That makes them .36W bulbs.
6V grain of wheat bulbs- that's the standard for all variants of MTH PS2.
If it's a PS2 engine and you need a bulb- it's a 6V for sure.
That said, you said markers, and those are not bulbs, those are tiny LEDs.
So what you do is, you go over to MTH Parts and Sales and you try to do a parts listing breakdown lookup. https://www.mthpartsandsales.com/
you click on
In this case, the nearest match to your engine may be the 5V variant even if yours is PS2 3V because that's what listings are populated at the moment

There are a handful of MTH engines that actually used bulbs in the class/marker lights, so it's best to make sure.

The Railking uses bulbs and plastic red & green captures, ….thats for sure,….The Premier is best to pop the shell off and have a look around, ….i think they did them both ways….

For a Scale GG-1 PS-2 the markers are bi directional with 3 wires and they run off a separate light board in the engine. Hope your not testing them with the harness connected to boards. G
George I had lights that burned out. I thought these were 3 volt, and I tried starting the engine up and they worked and then restarted engine and they didn't work. So that's why I asked. Thank you every one for the help.
A lot of times it is the spring loaded connector making contact to the contact pad on the chassis. The GG-1 use a double spring so you can wind it out to protrude more. Also make sure good contact with the light plug. G
