Hi Scott,

 

I had e-mailed you privately a week or so ago about the availability of the 3 rail,  6 wheel heavyweight passenger car trucks being available for separate sale,  but haven't heard back yet.  Figured you were pretty busy,  so I'm trying to get in contact through the forum.  I need four truck assemblies w/roller pickups for 2 of the heavyweight cars that GGD produced in 2008.  About 6 or 7 months ago,  you had indicated to me that there would be some available,  as extras were being manufactured along with the cars.  When you have a chance,  could you please let me know about these?

How about Kadee in the 3rail offerings also?

The appropriate mounting holes are already there.

 

Are they?  Or are the mounting holes there to accept the Kadee mounting brackets?  That is how the El Cap car are drilled.  

 

BTW the mounting brackets are a separate sale item from GGD.  If I recall each bracket is $5.00 so it will cost you $10 per car plus the cost of the Kadee.

 

I need to check the parts box that came with these. But we may have the Kadee mounting kit, in the case of the plastic cars it is not an expensive bracket, but a plastic shim or pad with screws, $5 / pair + $5 (Shipping any amount of pads)

If these were made the same way as the p70 and other plastic HW cars, remove the lobster claw, tap the holes in the end of the car 2-56. 3 micro mark shims (I think that makes .095") and a kadee 805 is spot on to the kadee gauge.

I received my B&O cars last week and my PRR cars earlier this week. You should send Scott an e-mail about this. He is currently in China.

I received mine on the 17th.
