Thanks for posting. Great news.
Very cool. Sad watching some of their collection sitting out in the weather. They were talking about this when we used to take our kids there years ago.
That is great news! So cool that they will be adding a roundhouse!

Wonderful news thanks for posting the link.
I was wondering about this project a few weeks back. I am so happy to see that it actually might go forward!
Alway good to see sheltering structures done for any of these beautiful relics. Too often they are saved from the scrappers only to see them rot away out in the elements.
Fantastic news I am looking forward to seeing it completed and visiting. Thank you for posting !
Outstanding, can't wait!
Wow, great news. Of course, they waited until I have moved from the area. I love that museum.

Beautiful addition to a wonderful place!!
This IS good news - and long, long overdue.

I was there this past November. This roundhouse will be an excellent addition! I noticed that there was a lot of locomotives and rolling stock sitting outside.
Here are a few of my photos from inside the main hall.
Hope to see you out rail-fanning: Gary 🚂

RR Museum of PA is certainly one of the top RR museums in the country, soon to be even better. Here are the 6 locomotives that will be displayed in the roundhouse according to the linked article:
- M1b No. 6755 – A 4-8-2 “Mountain” type steam locomotive built in 1930
- K4s No. 3750 - A 4-6-2 “Pacific” type steam locomotive built in 1920
- L1s No. 520 – A 2-8-2 “Mikado” type steam locomotive built in 1916
- E6s No. 460 – A 4-4-2 “Atlantic” type steam locomotive built in 1914
- H10s No. 7688 – A 2-8-0 “Consolidation” type steam locomotive built in 1915
- B6sb No. 1670 – A 0-6-0 switching steam locomotive built in 1916
5 of the 6 are outside, while #460 is inside the main museum. I was hoping that PRR #4800 "Old Rivets" would be brought inside. Maybe Old Rivets could take #460's spot in the museum building (will need another 7' though) . . .

Gotta protect those engines that made our country so great. Thank you to those making this happen.
I would love to see the sole remaining 2-10-0 I1sa, currently in Hamburg NY, moved and located in the new RH.
