It is now less than a month until the opening of the 2023 Train-A-Palooza held in Grapevine, TX on March 11th and 12th. This post can be used as a portal to access information on travel connections by rail from Dallas/Fort Worth International airport or the Fort Worth Transportation Hub to Grapevine. It is easily possible to travel from the major airport and area Amtrak stations to the train show without the use of a car. Links to Grapevine lodging and various attractions are also included here.

The train show has recently been expanded to 2 days, been relocated to a larger space, and vendor tables sold out within days of availability. Plan your trip now!

Here are some added benefits of Train-A-Palooza #9 being at the Grapevine convention center.

1. This is an official Lionel Collectors Club "Special Event”

2. The Houston Brick Railroad Club will have their operating Lego Railroad display at the show.

3. The Rubber Tired Choo Choo Express ride-on Railroad will be running in the parking lot during the show.

4. The Lone Star Hi-Railers club has received special room rates at the Comfort Inn for attendees and vendors. Just call call the reservation line at 800-228-5150 and let them know you are with the Lone Star Hi-Railers Train-A-Palooza train show and get the special rate for Friday and Saturday night. The hotel is only two blocks from the Convention Center at 302 Capitol Street.

5. The show is for all gauges of model trains

6. Parking at the Grapevine Convention Center is Free.

7. The Convention Center is close to all Grapevine attractions and resturants.

8. Free shuttle service from the Grapevine train station to and from the Convention Center.

9. Free entry to the Lone Star Hi-Railers baggage car O gauge hi-rail train layout.

10. Free viewing of the Lone Star Hi-Railers 20 by 28 foot model railroad layout featuring six O gauge trains running together.

Was hoping we could have brought our layout up there to the show. Maybe next year?
