I managed to get 3 hours at the Greenberg show on Saturday.   I thought is was a little light on vendors but packed with customers, some with small children.  I especially liked the guy navigating a double wide stroller down the aisles.    While it was packed in the morning with customers I noticed the aisles were a little wider than usual in some spots. I'm guessing this was due to the smaller number of vendors.  Wider aisles rather than empty table...I'm all for that!

Saw a bunch of good friends and was able to pick up a few inexpensive items.  I did find one thing in particular I've been looking for lately....a Scale CP caboose to run after my CP Shay.

All in all a good time and a good show.  Much better than the previous one.

I was there on Saturday and had a great time. I spent a bunch of time with Alex and while walking around with him came up with his next project for me. Alex is a great guy and does great work.

I spent some time at the HiRailers table with Jim, John, George, Alex's dad and others.

I was also looking for one specific item and was able to find it. So all in all, the show was really enjoyable and a great success for me.

I have to admit I have stopped going to this show.  I am putting together a layout but I am not a collector.  I used to take my young son and it seemed that every other table was trying to sell him some cheap junk toy. We would always end up leaving a little grumpy, me because I couldn't find useful stuff and I had to keep prying my son away from garbage, and him because I had a dollar limit for garbage spending.

What I am always looking for is a non internet source for used track and switches, control stuff, etc.

Thank you for the report.  I personally don't read anything into the rather light attendance: I think this past weekend would have been a less-than-ideal time for a train show, given the holiday, etc., but with their traveling-show schedule they have to put together, they have little choice than to hit some locations at non-optimal weekends.

I plant to try to catch the Greenberg show in Richmond but the timing there is probably even worse - weekend before Christmas.

I thought it was an average turnout. Saturday always seems to be better than Sunday, but

I did pretty good, and so did BLT, right across from me. If you are a seller or hunting for

something, it can be hit or miss, you just never know. That's why we keep coming out!

Next up is Greenberg at Somerset in Jan. I'll be there!       Mike
