i have all three. the Kimball book has some illustrations that are not in the later edition, but Schuweiler introduced the Typing system which makes the horrible year/number system much more understandable.
to complete prewar Flyer, the Wide Gauge book is essential for all accessories, both those made for Wide gauge and for O gauge trains.
Thanks, Gary. I recently beefed up my collection of reference material with pre-42 Lionel and both editions of Ives books but discovered I only have Flyer referenced in the Doyle Toy Train and Classic O Gauge editions.
