I'm hand laying some track on my outdoor RR's bridge. I'm trying for a look like my Atlas O bridge deck has. I saw a picture posted here before by someone with guardrails and the tie details. I would like to find that picture again, or one like it to use it as a reference. I tried a search and came up short!

CWEX, maybe you've hand laid a bridge track already? (I'm shooting for semi-modern. I heard they don't use guardrails anymore?)

Hey Joe,

I actually haven't as of yet.  I thought Christopher (Christopher N&W) had added some to his bridge deck.  Typically the guard rails are just rail set right on top of the ties with no tie plates and spiked down.  Here is a photo of one.  The ends of the rail are often bent slightly inward at the ends.  And some don't have any.  Here are a couple of photos I found.

I hope to start back on my 2 rail layout this fall. I think I may have to start over to get it right. I hope it ends up half as nice as yours!

After seeing one corner of your layout alone, it prompted me to do it right.

Thanks Joe, The guard rail is code 100...the main rail is code 125.
