Some time back I purchased this model off ebay. I believe these were made in the 1970's and imported by Bobbi Hall of Hallmark. As a fun experiment I used vinegar and baking soda to both clean and work on the tarnish.
The underframe came out sharp, the body is just clean...
I may sand blast the body to get it into better shape for paint. Enjoy

If this is brass, try a product called Brasso.
Soak it in that plastic tub with a can of barkeepers friend for a day or three. Brush it every so often with a tooth brush. You'll see what shine is all about.
