Hi everyone, here is the first part of a mulit-part video on how I am hand laying my track work.  The video opens on a shot of a completed section minus the ballast to show everything in place and then continues into showing the detail parts and some of the tools I am using.  I thought it was a nice way to start instead of just diving right in to it.  The track laying will begin in the next segment.

Will and Mike your welcome.  These are fun to do...  I am breaking these down into segments because I can't get it all in one quick video with what I wish to show (plus my yapping) so the break down should be something along the following.

Part 2---Road bed, hand laying a straight section, rail joiners and using track gages (purchased and home made.)

Part 3---Hand laying a curve, also showing how to transition smoothly into the curve for smooth flowing track work.

Part 4---Handlaying a #8 turnout with cast frog and detail parts and associated wiring.  I will try to also show a #8 w/o all the extra detail parts and how to make your own frogs and guard rails.

Part 5---Electrical work....and what ever else I think of....

Any way that is the plan as it stands currently.  Thanks again guys.

Chris, This is a TV series with a cliff hanger but I know the storyline and am waiting each week for the next episode.   Keep them rolling!

Chris thank you, if you snag some detail parts I know you will be happy with them.  Also thanks for testing the J, I appreciate it.  I will await your findings.

Mike LOL.....Yeah I can hear the announcer now.  Will the rail fit in place?, will there be enough spikes?  Will the Northerns and Mikados ever get along?....Stay tuned....
