Enjoy.
Bob, if you want help with the reverse loop, you'll have to post more than I've seen. Are you using a track planning program?
Bob, are you designing a track plan for American Flyer two rail or Lionel three rail ?

Lionel. I have a 681 loco. And. 1700. 3 rail the 1700. Just sits to the side
Do you tear those down for an "unneeded" cam, head, or intake swap that you "needed" too? ☺️🙃 🏁🚂🚃
Unlike the other track, your peers like to see you win here and will help you do it. Just ask
I have used this model RR software a bit: https://www.scarm.info/index.php I downloaded the Windows free version. There is a learning curve. Scarm does provide tutorials that you can link to at the latter site. You need to look at the tutorials.
Thsnk you rick where could I post a pic of this mountain tunnel for intake from other ppl. First one i ever built. I'll have to get that software

Back in the day. I was 15. My step father and I rebuilt my moms. 66 stang. Gt. 289 hp. Pony interior. It's nice was nice. My step dad doesnt take care of anything. Anyway when my mom bought it. It was rough we did everything. But the frame I always fixed my own cars to poor as a kid to pay. Cheaper to read and do. L. The mustang is now mine. I said this my first post. I was never in a more helpful room then here and nice ppl. My God I didnt think there was this many left. Sorry for the book. Question o22 is the switch track I should use with the 681 loco? And what dies the track software do? Show you how to make turns. I think I'm good now. But by tom I'll change it again its alot harder then I thought blows my mind. If I remember rite. I thought the little trains were easy. I remember have it set up on paneling. It was very small. Dc. Santa fe maybe. Would of been about 78 n79
Part of the fun is the process, plan, build, run, critique, revise, rebuild, run again, improve. The worst part of a model layout is when it is finished, reminds me of the song "is that all there is?" Enjoy the ride.
Please work on your grammar and spelling. No offense intended. It's just that I love my language, and it should be respected.
Your intent to get these trains going is great, and you're in the right place to get help.
Keep in mind that this forum is full of older people, and that millennial style texting is not our style. It does represent what we feel is a downturn in the standards of traditional America.
I'm not saying your not welcomed on the forum. I myself am happy that you are posting and showing an interest in your trains. Just slow up a little and improve your style. I am 70, and I still need self-improvement.

Now that you put it like that you're probably doing a better job than I would. It sounds like a scene from a sitcom. If you're trying to work on your trains under the same circumstances the title of your thread "hard" seems quite appropriate.
Good luck with all of the above.

Speak only for yourself, please.
The language you say you love is changing daily and always has been. I try to change with it.

Wolfbane - no worries about your spelling and grammar; glad to have you on the forum; we get what you are saying and glad to help; the fellas here walked me thru repairs on my Lionel Big Boy - much patience and understanding; see: https://ogrforum.com/...31#79705968936236831 GRJ, Romiller, Hancock, SantaFeFan and many others stayed with me till completed. Regarding pictures - I only know how to use my digital camera and my laptop to get pictures in my posts. If you look at the bottom of the window you are using to write your post, you will see 'Add Attachments'. Pressing this will take you to a spot on your computer or smart phone to select a picture.

Isn't that the truth. But for the little time I'm hear you all. Have trains in common. I could speak jiberish but someone would help. Your like hell's Angel's of trains. The track drives me crazier then the kids. Crazy wife and dog. Hard to type. But no stress. Everytime I look at track. It like oh hell. But a good oh hell I just didnt think I'd like a lionel train as much as I do. My friends say I'm getting old. Lol. I could be 5 or 90. If I enjoy it I'll do it no matter who like it or not. But anyway I'm way off subject. Sorry

Wouldn’t that be “you’re not welcomed” instead of “your not welcomed”?
Ha, now you've done it. I think the federal spelling-law enforcement has arrived now 🤣
Is the act available for parties?
I think what's implied is a texting style shorthand can be much difficult more difficult to decipher than full sentences. I was called out on this myself.... and now they are likely sorry becase of my book length posts. Don't sweat it you will be assimilated 😜 It's not like you'll be lashed to a turnout or anything. 🙄
Spell check, & bad predictive text options don't shut off on some systems and get glitchy. It might change text already out of sight at any moment. Voice typing causes some of that too.
Just avoid being short during a tech post or your whistler may become your smoker 🤔
The attachment tool will appear as soon as you set the cursor in the text box, in blue, bottom right. Embedding longer video from a host site like Youtube, etc, uses the embed code into the icon in the toolbar at the top , plus other goodies and alternative tools are there in a good desktop view.. which can take some searching to find a good browser for th/e phone type. Some options need a certain view to work also (desktop view has more features than mobile view... like a most recent active posts list to the right (up top.)
After it loads, processes, success... a small line & box appears saying "insert into text full sized" check it off, then hit finished. Then finish up & hit post.
If you forget to check "insert in text", the insert option is shown again at the bottom of each pics listing down low, below the text box but above post button.
Pictures that are uploaded already can be linked to or copy/pasted once a copy exists here. An address becomes a link automatically when you post. The video takes a few minutes to process fully before it plays the first time.
There's my notes, there is a topic section devoted to forum tech for more.

There are a few. First what system do you use apple has limited options. Windows has a few, some offer free trial versions. Some are easy, some a bit harder, cabability varies from simple overhead to 3d infinate axis zoomable and simulators. (the living room uses graphics overlays on a simple to use program Anyrail, the 3d is SCARM you build in 2d, then take a peak. I think both these offer a free 50pc trial version.
