It looks gorgeous to my eye. Doesn't say if it runs, the pictures are supposed to tell the story, ok... but man, that looks nice. $600. Seems ok. I won't be buying it, but I am curious if anyone has any history or info on this set. I like it. Very classy, understated style. Looks in really nice shape. Says it's circa 1929-31. I like that kinda party. I just noticed the silver roof on the caboose. Geez...

I am not an expert on original Lionel Corp standard gauge. That said, the set looks like a custom paint job to me.
I agree. Looks to be a custom paint job, but does look nice. and $600 is a fair price just for the engine and tender I believe.
