Hey there I'm new to the forums, as I came here seeking some help. I have been selling some of my late fathers trains and toys, and came across this cast brass/bronze train. Was curious if someone could help identify it.

It looks to me some sort of kit maybe? As there are brass screws holding it together. I cant find any markings on it except on one end panel inside it looks like it might be stamped TGB or TG5, kinda hard to make it out?

I would say its O scale and def. 2 rail.  Has one electric motor. Train measures approx 12" long coupler/coupler wheels are approx 1.5 inches outside/outside. Thing ways over 7lbs.

I have attached a few pic's if anyone could help with maybe a brand and value, that would be greatly appreciated. Hoefully this is the right area to post this?

Thanks
Dave

Hey thanks for your reply there mwb, Interesting. So would this be made by Baldwin Model Locomotive Works?  Just wondering, How or what I would list this as when I go to sell it?

I have a bunch of Lionel stuff, that I have been and will be selling, but I have no real experience in this type of brass/bronze stuff, which I also came across a bunch of.

Thanks again,

Dave

As Bob notes, there is a burgeoning market for the bronze age stuff - list it on eBay under O Scale: Other.  They will find it.  Give them above info, but these guys will know what it is from the pictures more than likely.
