Help me identify this piece. | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I was moving several pieces around today, such as a 252, 253 259 and 249 locos along with 600 series passenger cars and a ZW transformer. When I was done I found this laying on the carpet. Not sure if this insulator came from one of these or not. Looked the best I could and didn’t see any logical location. Maybe it was a hitch hiker picked up along the way over the years any just finally got off. Thanks in advance for your help.

You will find them on the underside of standard gauge switches used to mount the rails to the switch base
