I have a Proto 2.0 Pennsy rtr set (2000, vol,2 cat.) and would like to add engine cab figures and also passengers in the cars. Problem is that even MTH's own engineer/fireman set figures are too wide for the narrow space available in the engine cab (engine #30-144C). Anyone know of a source of REALLY narrow figures or have any suggestions on fitting the MTH set figures?.

Also how are the passenger car shells separated from the body frames so I can access the interior seats to install the passenger figures. Car set is #30-144b). On the observation car I removed screws under each end of frame near couplers but shells didn't loosen.

Finally, did MTH make additional cars to match this set? If so, what's the catalog number for those additional cars?

Thanks in advance for any answers or help you can provide for any of my three questions.

This sounds gruesome, but try cutting a figure in half the long way, I have used Beepeople for many little projects. As far as the passenger cars, I think that removing the screws under the frame only allow you to remove the roof. They are recessed in two holes on the underside of the cars. The screws that aren't recessed hold the passenger seating interiors in place. If you use the seated BeepPeople, you have to cut their legs off, and use Walther's Goo to fasten them in place. When you are done, you have to vacuum the legs off your workbench, or you will have a scene reminiscent of a slasher movie. No blood, tho.
