Help sought - looking for scale flat cars, so I can put custom loads on them | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Folks

greetings. I’m having trouble locating truly 3RS flat cars. I’ll admit I have non-3RS intent. I’m hoping to make customer US Navy and Christmas cars, but I’m looking for the benefits the scale size will give me.
Can anyone post some leads. I can’t tell 3RS from the smaller stuff looking online.

The MENARDS 14 3/4" flat cars are scale sized.

There are ATLAS O Trainman 52' flat cars available at Petersen Supply Co.

the obvious addition is the Premier MTH line. Others may have additional details but Lionel with a 6-17XXX is going to be a scale car if you can find flat cars.

I just bought a 4 pack of the Menards scale cars and they are a bargain.

Flat cars are various lengths, which are you going to model? Scale width? Weaver, MTH and brass. If you have a band saw, K-Line 52' flat cars may be ripped length wise at 1 1/4 inch. Then join the two wide sides for a scale 10' width. John in Lansing, ILL

Can't beat the Menard's flatcars for the price. The 14" cars have nice sprung trucks, they're a real bargain.
