I created a lashup with two MTH SD70 UP Heritage locomotives pulling a long string of Atlas Gunderson Stack cars.  It made about half way around my layout, THEN THE TRAIN STOPPED!!! I looked at the remote screen and it said LOSS OF POWER RESET REMOTE AND TIU.  I now have no power to the track.  I am dead in the water.  How do I reset the TIU?  What could have caused this?

LOSS OF POWER RESET REMOTE AND TIU.  I ve never seen this one with the dcs remote??

If the e=stop was hit      a power down  of the remote & tiu is all that's required (as mentioned above) That would include an aux power supply. Does the LED on the tiu light up? Maybe you just blew a internal Tiu fuse.

Clint,

You pressed the remote'sE-STOP button. The message that you received was:
ALL STOPPED!
RESET TIU AND
REMOTE POWER!

You must power off both the TIU and the remote. When you power both back on, all should be well.

DCS Book CoverThis and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!"

Barry,

I got up at 3:00am this morning because I couldn't sleep.  Yep, it was bothering me.  I went up to my train room, turned off, unplugged everything.  I drank a cup of coffee and then plugged everything back up and powered up.  Back to normal.  Ok, I'm somewhat embarrassed.  I have the 2nd and 3rd editions of your excellent book.  Sometimes when something happens, I get into a panic and can't find what I need in the book.  I've been operating for almost a year using the wifi app on my iPad.   I had to use the DCS controller for a lashup, yep, my finger hit the emergency stop...dang!  Well, now I know that feature works great.  Thanks!
