Hot,

I'm almost 70.  After nearly 40 years as a journeyman maintenance machinist with US Steel and the US Army Corps of Engineers I am physically worn out.  The many years of not only working inside a shop,  but also working in the field at job sites that included much climbing,  bending,  stooping,  crawling,  working in extremely hazardous conditions including weather related conditions just takes a toll on the body that accumulates over time.  Mentally,  I can still do it all-physically is a different story!  I think that anyone who has worked the majority of their careers in construction, mining, farming,  or a factory/industrial type environment can relate to what I'm saying.  When I was younger,  I applied for jobs with numerous railroads over the years,  but never could get my foot in the door.  In my area of the country,  these were prized jobs and if you didn't have a relative or a friend or someone who knew someone already with the railroad,  it was extremely difficult to be hired on.  If I was 20-22 years younger,  I would consider the Strasburg job,  but at this point I'm happy playing with the smaller versions of the real thing.
