Help with DZ-2500! I hope someone has experienced this! | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I hope someone can help with this odd occurence. I have a DZ-2500 that has worked just fine for a year. Suddenly, it is doing the following: both red and green lights are on solid, not blinking, and the switch machine responds to nothing. I run Legacy and the switch machine is wired to a DZ-1008 that allows it to be controlled through the one-wire hookup. The switch does not respond to the auto derailing, the Legacy remote, or directly pushing the button. I am not aware of anything that has happened to cause this turn of events. All the other switch machines are functioning properly.

Any thoughts on what is going on and how to maybe reprogram the switch machine? I have held the button for 10 seconds to try and get some flashing lights, but it responds to nothing! I've checked the wiring and there appears to be nothng wrong there. Could the switch machine have gone bad? Is this how that would be indicated?

Sounds like it went up in smoke. Send it to Dennis at Zstuff and he'll swap it out no questions ask.

Have you tried the reset sequence? The manual that comes with the switch shows this or an email to Dennis will get you some help.
