Help with new MTH PS 3 Cab Forward

From the amps readings, one engine is stalled, do not keep try to run it. Try to move each engine by hand to feel if it is jammed.loosen any screws on the gearbox and the drive rods just a little, this may free it up....Don't just send it in unless you give up on it or can't fix it yourself..good luck.

Try reverse ?

i had one mth diesel do the same thing and found one small grain of sand grit, one little piece and the one grain got between the 2 gears of the wheels gears and motor drive gear and locked it up solid i took a small screw driver and took the  dirt out and fixed it, my was drawing over 4 amps and if you keep running it like that you'll burn up or fry the board FET's.Make sure you can turn the flywheel  freely with your hand in both directions.

if you don't find any dirt or debris in the gears  there might be a bend drive rod or piston on the wheels, check everything carefully and ONLY test buy turning the flywheel by hand in both directions and go threw a 360 degree of the wheel and rod's etc.  otherwise if you draw to many amps you will damage the board!

I tried reverse, same result.

I did not see any sand or dirt in the wheels.

One drive rod looks different from the rest and it does not move as free as the other three. It is the outside rod.

How do I check the flywheel? I can"t get any wheels to turn.

Did it throw a traction tire and jam?  You need to remove the shell and rotate the flywheel by hand to see what is the issue.  If the external gears are fine, it could be internal which means pulling the motor.  G

Traction tires are good. Will it void the warranty if I pull the shell?

Rivet on outer rod broke off. Guess I'm sending it back.

That would be best, or you could see if they just mail you the eccentric assembly.  G

Bob had a similar issue with a premiere diesel a few years back and it was due one of the motors was bad, once replaced it ran fine. However with mine I bought the engine from a friend who only tested it and shelved it for a few years so without MTH warranty, I used a 3rd party service for the repair.
