I inherited a rather poorly restored original Lionel 400E from my grandfather that he bought back in the 1980's as a basket case. He never really got it to run right, and I've done a lot of work on it correcting the mistakes he made trying to put it back together.
One of the larger issues I'm having is Grandpa seemed to just jam any old screw from his junk pile into this poor thing just to keep it together, and I'm trying to figure out the correct screws needed to put it back together proper. I really worried that he might have stripped some threads, especially in the cast frame.
Does anyone have a fastener list for a 400E? This one black with copper trim, chugger mechanism but no whistle in the tender.
