I am looking to replace some missing hex nuts on a standard gauge Lionel pendulum reversing unit. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find this information?
Thanks,
Greg

Pretty sure they are 3-48.
Don't think the information is available.
Take the reverse unit to a good hardware store. They should be able to fit up the proper nuts for you.

If you can find a hardware store that stocks #3 machine screws & nuts, that is a REALLY good hardware store.
I think they are 2-56

In one corner we have Jon G, and in the other corner we have Chuck S. Let's have a clean fight fellows and may the best man win.
GRJ: And the winner is...
Well, it's not a 2-56...I had that size available and tried it...the hole was slightly too small and would not fit.

We have a "winner!" Just returned from ACE Hardware where I took the reverse unit with me for proper fitting...and 3-48 is the correct size! For the record, 4-40 also "fits" but, they are too big to have side-by-side.
Jon G is crowned champion of this mini-challenge.
Jon reigns supreme. He gets the Golden nut award!
I am NOT gonna touch that one!

Ha! Now if you put that on a MTH Bild-A-Loco motor, you need a M3 nut. DAMHIK!
