What Lionel or MTH item are you asking Santa Claus to bring you this Christmas.

This year, my goal is to give to Santa (milk and cookies) and receive nothing from him except coal in my stocking (for my Lionel #97 coal elevator). LOL, Arnold

Hear, hear, me too, I can always use more coal for my #456 coal ramp and #397 loader.
That reminds me of Mother (Dad?) telling me that if I did not behave, I would get some lumps of coal in my Christmas stocking. Good, I said, I can use it in my hopper cars.
Not much this year. My train list has run dry....
Prewar tinplate or modern Amtrak 21” coaches for me!!!
Santa was with me for 5 days at York this October. He signed off on 3 sets of Williams F3s, a triple lash up of Lionel Wabash bluebird GPs, 3 UP diesels, a SF FM, a NYC GP9, a Lionel DRG ABA F3, a Texas & Pacific steam engine, 3 circles of 072 and 225 ft of straight track.
Due to the size and weight he asked that I take it home with me, store it, and hide it from myself till Christmas.
I have done all that.
My Christmas present will be a note from Santa reminding me of where I put it all.
I bought a Lionel Class A if it makes it. Looks like it's 12/13 now for delivery. Other than that I'm pretty full up on trains right now.
In past York's October shows, I was always able to pick up an early Christmas present for myself. This year I wasn't able to go, so I did the next best thing, I searched for attendees' pictures and videos of dealer tables for my next hot Christmas present.
There it was, an MTH RK Imperial GS4 with Christmas lights sitting in the middle of other MTH engines. I've been looking for this engine for the past couple of years. I quickly messaged the dealer and after a few minutes, we agreed on a price and the engine was mine. This engine will now be featured in the TMB Club Christmas show.

A new “Visionline” Bigboy !!!
I have one of the MTH tooled Legacy USRA 0-6-0s that are currently scheduled for delivery in December, we'll see.
Dave managed to get the swinging bell put on this one. It should be a neat little switcher if it performs as well as the Legacy b6's.
Our Christmas List to our kids and grandkids: IF WE CAN'T DRINK IT OR EAT IT, WE DON'T NEED IT! I guess that may disqualify Lionel and MTH stuff! Good grief, what have I done??????
Cheers, Dave
My UP F7 AA set is tentatively scheduled for delivery on 11-20 and my Rock Island Hobo Sounds Car for 12-15. Those would make great Hanukah presents.
I don't have my layout up yet, still making sure everything works. I have bought some new Lionel stuff if it struck my fancy. For Christmas I'd like to get a Union Pacific Covered Cylindrical Hopper from Charles Ro. My wife reminds me I've bought 40 or so things already this year, but one more can't hurt, can it?
I pre-ordered myself an MTH Western Maryland GP-7. Been wanting one. Won't be here until March likely. Oh well, Santa should bring my son a couple diesels.......or coal.
It's a pity that the Lionel Base-3 won't be available until spring next year. I also want the new MTH DCS WTIU, but again, that doesn't release until around the same time as the Lionel Base-3. I still plan on buying both systems for my future layout (which I am currently in the planning stages of).

I missed out on that one. I emailed that person and he told me that it was just sold. I have been looking for that engine for years too. I guess I wasn't fast enough. Your gain...my lose
I have 2 Lionel C Liners on order (NH and LIRR) from Grzyboski’s. Been put off a couple of times… current estimate is mid-December. Santa may get to deliver them
The Lionel Vision Line Horse Car looked like a fun item, so I ordered on from my friends at Eastside trains. It was in the 2022 Big Book (pages 18-19) and I believe they are still available in various road names, including Louisville and Nashville. I ordered it because I liked the blue color. I saw the Vison Horse Car operating in the York Recap by Chris Montagna:
