As they are on the way out, does anyone know why MTH never made any O-63 track in either their RealTrax or ScaleTrax lines?  I'm guessing something to do with track geometry, but that's still a huge gap between O-54 and O-72, especially when other manufacturers (roadbed and no roadbed) were making track in that O-60/O-63 range.  Even if it is geometry, that's still an 18-inch differential.

I looked thru the search feature to see if this topic had been raised before, but I couldn't find it.

Im just guessing but MTH scaletrax was never a "track system" like Atlas O. It was Jim Weaver that came up with the "track system" for Atlas O. MTH and Lionel tinplate just created track sections based on tinplate sections already out there. Also note at the beginning of this century, MTH was seriously considering abandoning their scaletrax due to lack of sales. IF it wasn't for the OGR forum and a huge thread on how good MTH Scaletrax is and Barry's book the track would have gone the way of Truetrack and Super O.

NOte that NONE of the popular track systems out there have ADDED any NEW track sections since their initial rollout.
