How do MTH Premier 2 Rail units run with Atlas 2 rail units? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I'm considering adding an MTH Premier 2 Rail locomotive to the roster. How well do they run "out of the box" with Atlas 2 Rail locomotives? I would like to incorporate them into an Atlas consist. I certainly understand with DCC one can adjust speed curves and I plan to do that when the railroad is operational but would like to know if they will run well together with the Atlas units.

I don't know how well they run together without electronic adjustment. But as you say, with DCC, you can put in all sorts of speed adjustments, including a 16 step (or more) speed curve. You just have to experiment with them a little. Get one or the other running the way you like, and then adjust the other to match it.

The premiers will have to be PS3 for the dcc option
