I did not! Hmmm. I always liked the white roof. It added something to the look.
I see a listing on that page for the SD40-2 rebuilt units acquired from NS. They will remain black.

Me too! When Ken Jr. from Trainworld had Mike over for the Q&A on the forum, I asked him about possibly seeing SD40-3's in the future, and he said they have been looking in to rebuilds from all railroads, so I'm certainly looking forward to the next catalog!
CSX also did some GP40-3s with the rebuilt cab. The new cabs resemble C40-8 cabs. I had to look twice when I first saw one. Would make an interesting model. Maybe a scratchbuilding project for Joe?
