I was born in Ottumwa Iowa and the CB&Q was the main RR in the forties through Ottumwa. (If that is correct, I'm on the right track. ha)

The F3 CB&Q seems to be my best choice (passenger) if I want to have something that reminds me of there.

So...I find Atlas made a phase 1 that is still out there for sale new. They also are coming out with a phase II sometime soon. (I know, I know) What would be the difference between phase I and phase II.?

Lionel made the 6-38597 but alas, they are pretty much gone and used stuff I can't see and touch gives me heebeegeebees. There is a chrome (??) one in the Lionel white boxes from that era.

So, besides those mentioned, what other CB&Q F3s are worth looking at??

Also, I probably would prefer the older 15 inch cars, maybe 18s as I don't have room for 21 inchers. I'm not a collector and I run stuff. I currently only have conventional stuff and Lion Chief+, but will go legacy if I need to. Probably will anyway. Don't think I want to mix MTH in there unless it was super easy, and it never sounds like it is. 054 curves are about as wide as I can go.

Any suggestions would be great for CB&Q F3s and cars.
