I’m 20 or 30 pages deep in the for sale forum, and I see something I’d entertain buying, but the seller hasn’t listed his email, and my reply box is not populating the bottom of his ad. This a first for me. Do the FS and WTB ads work differently?

You can not respond to a "For Sale" listing. You have to contact the seller via e-mail in his/her profile. If they haven's listed one, they've wasted your time and theirs.

If they don't have an email address maybe it shouldn't let them place an ad? Wonder if that's possible?
Emailed an guy selling a steam engine a few times and never got a reply so that's another issue.
Thanks, that’s weird. Thought it was a goof up on my end.

No, that’s not possible.

Mark, There may be a way to find the Seller's Internet address. On any message, click on the originator's name/avitar. You should get their Profile page and on the page is - Display All Posts. Click on that and all their previous messages should appear. There is a chance, albeit a long shot, that in one of their messages is listed a point of contact. Respectfully, John
Thanks, John.
