Hey guys.

While I ponder my water situation from an earlier post, I decided to shift gears and move around the corner of the layout and plant some trees. I have a few boxes of them that got recycled from the old layout.

The hillside gobbled up over 50 of them in short order!

All the ones on the hill are commercial. The foreground pines were handmade by me over 20 years ago. They survived the move from the old layout to storage and now get to live again in a new environment. They have gotten to be very brittle so before planting, I give them all a heavy dose of very cheap, sticky hairspray.  A few of the branches needed to be glued back on the trunk. The commercial ones are a lot easier. Drill a hole and hot glue in place.

I think the ballast needs a little weathering but overall am pleased with how this scene turned out.

Enjoy the pics and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Donald
