Those are pretty cool as well. Not really ironic considering the time. Smoking was commonly accepted in those days. I was looking at a few old Tonight Show reruns last month - Johnny Carson and his guests are all smoking on the show. Today, it's not like tobacco use is illegal, just that a company like Lionel doesn't want to be seen as endorsing smoking. They won't run the liquor cars anymore, either, I don't think. One of the amazing things about MPC was their ability to obtain licenses from all these companies to put their logos on the cars. That was actually quite an achievement in itself, and must have taken a lot of time and resources by MPC people to do it.
