I know MTH have made trolleys with PS2 that stop at pre-programmed stops and have announcements. Are they any good? Do they stop accurately at the same spot? Are there anything else like this that I'm not aware of?
Z-stuff used to offer a trolley stop and announcement system. You could use per-recorded announcements or roll your own. I have it and it works well. Don't know if still available. One drawback: speaker in fixed location, not on trolley.

The MTH PCC cars (and some others) with PS2 work just like the MTH PS2 subways. While not perfectly accurate, they really aren't bad at all.
I have a PS2 brill recommended to me by the guys here on the forum. It has nice sound and announcements and as long as you leave the throttle setting alone the out and back sequence is pretty good. If you mess with the throttle after you've programmed the start stop sequence it'll tend to creep.
