For some reason, some of my photos are coming up this way. I've fixed it twice, and a day or two later it seems to do it again. I'd think it was me, except it's only some of the photos. It appears to be happening to other people as well. Any idea why?

No, not until you tell me HOW you are posting your pictures.
Are you using the Attachments feature or linking to photos hosted elsewhere?
I've been using the "add attachments" feature at the bottom of the page. After I select the photo(s) from my computer and let them load, I check the box to put them in the post. I don't know what would cause some of them to disappear.
Give me the URL to a thread where the images have disappeared. I need to take a look there.
There are some differences in the html code between the good and missing images, but I cannot make heads or tails of it. I have alerted Hoopla Tech Support.

Here is the response from hoopla Tech Support:
"There's a pretty simple explanation for this. It looks like that user uploaded 41 total images. As you can see, there are only 21 attachments on the post, though. It looks like the 20 broken images are for attachments that the user removed from the post, which is why they are broken.
As for the issue of the images appearing to the author for a brief period of time and then "disappearing", that is just an artifact of the file upload process. We will be looking at improvements to that process to make it immediately clear which images are broken after posting.
The moral of the story is that once you embed images in a post, you should not remove the corresponding attachments from the post or else the embedded images won't work."
