This was released about a year back. But the lights did not shine that bright around the edges and it wore out the 2 C cell batteries pretty fast.
I found some bright LED battery operated lights and replaced the grain of wheat bulbs in the truck with these.
There are plastic panels that the light projects through from each bulb, with the little pointed ends that stick through the holes in the side of the truck to project the light. 1 panel each end and 3 on each side so you need 8 bulbs at least.
I unscrewed the base of the trailer and it all comes apart. Removed the battery box and light bulbs.
Then with the much brighter LED multi color light set I found I inserted the LED bulbs in place, ( had to drill out the light mounts a bit for larger size) just hot glue in place and taped over with black tape any bulbs not used, (LED stay cool).
I used foil tape over the inside walls of the trailer before remounting the panels to stop light projecting through the sides (where no holes on the original from the factory design the bulbs shine through the side where they are mounted)
To illuminate the side image on the trailer of Santa and the truck I mounted the end of the light string with battery box on a cardboard base with some snow (cotton) to hide the bulbs and wiring.
Now the truck looks much brighter and colorful for the Christmas train layout!
