I remember those signs just like yesterday! Very cool and I like the car lot!
Hi Dave,
They look great, thanks for posting
Alex
David.....they look great in the areas you have placed them. These Miller signs are addictive...I keep buying them and will be soon doing like you by installing them all over the layout!!
Alan
Nice additions to the layout. I particularly love the OK Used Car sign! Very cool.

David, the signs look great, and their surroundings enhance them.
Thanks for the pictures.
How are these signs wired? What is the operating voltage and is it DC or AC? Do they come with a "stepdown transformer type plug", or are there just two wires so that they can be tapped in to a small DC or AC supply? Reason I ask is that I would like to buy a few of these to place in various spots on the layout. I have buss wires for 12 VDC and 16 VAC, but no "nearby" 120V electrical plug or power strip.
We had a brewery here, and one of my favorite downtown sites was a large animated sign of the contents of a beer bottle being poured into a glass, with the wording below..."Pour a Koehler Collar..." If they offered this, I would buy one in an minute. I even have a great spot for it...on the roof of my MTH brewery!
Great looking signs, you picked a couple of winners there.
Steve, Lady and Tex
David1, that looks great. I remember those cars and the sign back in the day.
OK Used Cars, Great sign.
They really add to your layout, David. Nice job with the installation.

I have two of the Miller signs and both are powered by three AAA batteries (1 battery pack for each sign). You can also purchase a transformer that will supply 4.5 volt DC power to the sign.

You can run the signs via the battery pak included with the signs or you can order the plug in module to power them at extra cost from miller
In my earlier post, I identified a specific brand of beer. I don't know whether this name/logo etc is protected in any way.....
Great company, with a great product. I had misplaced the supports for a sign between when I bought it and when I finally had a place to put it up on the layout.
I contacted them to buy another set of supports, and they said "don't worry about it" and mailed them to me for free
RickO; I had the same experience with Miller Signs. I wired something wrong & destroyed the module. I was @ the Big E show in Springfield Mass. & wanted to buy another one & Chris just gave it to me. Since that time I have bought 12 more signs. Great people to do business with.
Signs look great Dave. I remember seeing the OK sign back when I was a kid.
Look great Dave! One thing I have learned about Miller signs is once you install them leave them be! They are semi fragile so moving them around and fiddling with them can cause problems.
"you can order the plug in module to power them"
they sell two different modules. one takes DC power from your transformer and can power up to three signs. i have two of these running two signs each.
there is also an A/C transformer, but i am not familiar with it.

I bought my first car back in the late 60's from a dealer who had that Ok sign.
Dave, that's neat. I bought the Breyer's sign a few years ago, took it out and it looked a challenge to mount with the wires and circuit, and seemed flimsy to stand by itself. How do you get it to stand up on it's own?

They have supports which are glued to the back. Miller has them if you need them.
How many of you old farts remember "Nicky Chevrolet" on Western Ave
The home of the backward "K" ??
Was that the original "OK used cars" ?
