Anyone out there know the size of the insulated washers issued by K-line as a result of a recall of their K-4400 series Heavyweight Passenger Cars, the cars were 1:48 scale and were sold 1991-1995. I would like to know if anyone knows where I could get the washers, or does anyone know the inside diameter, outside diameter and thickness of the washers so I can order the washers. I have found some close to the size at Lowes and Home Depot, but they are more than twice the thickness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have determined the washers from Lowes are twice the thickness, could you buy sheet cork of the correct thickness, drill holes for the inside diameter and with scissors trim to the approximate outside diameter? No one is going to see these - you are looking for a safe operation, not trying to win a beauty contest. John in Lansing, ILL
Thanks John, hadn’t thought of that, but will try it .
Please let us know the results. You would be doing those in our hobby a service and possibly save some cars from damage. John in Lansing, ILL
Where does the washer go? Would cork survive between the body and the truck?
Might try an old mom & pop or ACE hardware store...luckily l have two not too far, one with tiny model size screws, and sold individually. There is also that chain of fastener stores...ah! Fastenal.
